Mission Statement

Freeman Academy, as part of Christ's church, integrates Christian principles into all learning while maintaining a standards of excellence in academics, creative arts, and athletics.  Freeman Academy is Mennonite in origin and doctrine but seeks to serve students of all Christian faiths.  A safe, caring and nurturing atmosphere prepares students to accept God's call to live a life of compassionate service and discipleship to Christ.

Annual Pizza Fest

Freeman Academy Booster Club’s Annual Pizza Fest is coming up! We are looking for 8-10 volunteers for each shift Friday, February 3. Shifts are 5:00-6:30 and 6:30-8:00. Please e-mail Brandy Friesen at brandy.k.friesen@gmail.com or call 940-1493 to assist with a shift or if you have questions.

Dorm Fridge Needed

The school is in need of a refrigerator/freezer for Frontier Hall’s Student Center which has become a popular rental facility. The unit that has been in use died unexpectedly. If you have a fridge in good working order that you would like to donate, please contact Pam Tieszen, ptieszen@freemanacademy.org or 925-4237, #228 as soon as possible.

Pizza Fest February 3

The Bobcats Boosters will host their annual Papa Murphy’s Pizza Fest on Friday, February 3 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Pioneer Hall Dining Room. Anyone interested in pre-ordering whole, unbaked pizza should call 925-4237. The cost is $14 for cheese or single topping pizzas and $16 for specialty pizzas (Supreme, 3-Meat, Vegetarian, Chicken and Garlic). The order deadline is Wednesday, February 1 and pick up is after 4:30 on February 3.

Dining Extravaganza

The 13th Annual Dining Extravaganza will be held Friday, February 17, at 6:30 p.m. in the Freeman Academy Dining Hall.  For tickets, information, and an Art Auction Preview read further on the Dining Extravaganza Page.

Online Parent Gradebook Access

Parents are now able to access student grades and attendance online. To request a username and password to enter the Parent JMC Gradebook Portal, please email Nicolle Hofer Timmerman, nhtimmerman@freemanacademy.org. More information can be found on the Parent Resources Page.

Creative Arts News

One Act Headed to State

Congratulations to members and crew of FA's 2012 One Act performance, "We Loath Our Customers," for receiving a superior rating at the Regional One Act competition.  The competition was held Wednesday, January 25 in Brandon, and FA was one of two competing teams that received a superior, qualifying them for the State One Act Competition.  Three individual awards were given to Christina Hofer, Brennan Waltner, and Emily Epp.  The State One Act Competition will be held February 2-4 in Aberdeen.  Cast members: Christina Hofer, Olivia Boese, Emily Epp, Brennan Waltner, Brooklyn Ries, and Austin VanDiepen.  Crew members: Ben Carlson, Calvin Janssen, Matthew Graber, and Sarah Miller.  The One Act is under the direction of Gwen Ortman.

Bierocks Work Night

Studio Subscription Series

Season tickets are $48 or $12 for a single event. A non-FA student season tickets (K-12) is $18, and a single concert event ticket is $6.  Freeman Academy students and staff receive free admission.  For the full calendar of SSS events, see the Studio Subscription Page.
