Donations from anonymous donors have been given to the instrumental department at Freeman Academy to purchase instruments. These donations have been made in memory of Brandon Ries. Brandon, age 18, died unexpectedly while running in a cross country meet in Colorado near his home in Erie, CO, on September 16, 2016.
Brandon lived with his parents, James and Charmaine Ries, both graduates of Freeman Academy (1982, 1985) and his two sisters, Jillian and Jadyn. Brandon’s love of music (a trumpet player himself) and desire to help others inspired the donors to give to the FA Instrumental Department which is in need of quality instruments. Instruments purchased to this date are a new baritone saxophone and a new French horn. The instrumental music department is grateful for these generous gifts.
