Dorm students

The Freeman Academy dorm is located on the western side of the school’s campus on the second floor of Frontier Hall. The available student sleeping areas consists of three suites. Each suite is made up of two bedrooms that share a joined common living area with a private shower and toilet located off of this room. The bedrooms have built-in desks, closets with ample storage space, one set of bunk beds and a sink with vanity. Each suite can accommodate four students of the same sex. We currently have three suites in the dorm with the ability to house a total of twelve students.

In addition to the private bedrooms, there is a large community dining area with kitchenette and computers with internet access. There is a large living room area with comfortable seating, cable TV, games and ping pong table. The first floor of Frontier Hall also has an additional TV viewing area and a foosball table for the dorm students to utilize. Two washers and driers are available for the students to use at no charge. The laundry facility is conveniently located on the same level as the dorm.

The dorm is supervised by a family that lives in an apartment located adjacent to the student’s living quarters. This family, with children and pets of their own add a very homey, “family oriented” atmosphere to the dorm. The dorm mother cooks nutritious meals for all of the dorm students and the students and dorm family have evening meals together like one big family. The dorm truly becomes a “home away from home." By staying in an environment overseen and supervised by dorm parents that live on sight with their family, students from outside of the local area can enjoy a boarding experience with the touches of home.
