Bonnie Young  earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from SDSU, Brookings, SD and completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology Nurse Practitioner Program with the US Army, Ft. Bragg, NC.  She grew up on a farm near Parker, SD and currently resides in Yankton, SD with her husband of over 25 years.  Bonnie has one son, Ethan, who attends USD, and a daughter, Elizabeth, who attends SDSU.  In her free time, Bonnie loves to read, watch cooking programs on TV, and do crossword puzzles to relax. She also enjoys traveling with her family and visiting and talking with friends.

After graduating from SDSU, Bonnie joined the US Army. She worked in the Labor & Delivery, Newborn Nursery and Postpartum wards before obtaining her OB-GYN Nurse Practitioner training.  Bonnie developed a passion for Freeman Academy when she witnessed the impact it had on her daughter.
